Bellville Tygers 15U easily dispatched Athlone A’s on Saturday, 11-5.

Bellville Tygers 15U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Connor Pieters singled, scoring one run, Tyler Govender singled, scoring two runs, and Caleb Geduld was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Athlone A’s flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on zero hits to take the lead, 5-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Liam Rinquest that drove in one.

Bellville Tygers 15U took the lead, 6-5, in the top of the second thanks to two steals of home.

Bellville Tygers 15U scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Connor Kock singled, scoring one run, Tyler Govender singled, scoring one run, Lucian Steenkamp singled, scoring two runs, and Meecah Krigga grounded out, scoring one run.

Connor Pieters pitched three innings in relief for Bellville Tygers 15U. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs while, striking out six and walking two. Tyler Peters began the game for Bellville Tygers 15U. Liam Rinquest stepped on the bump first for Athlone A’s.
